Yes it is very easy. You mount the Ontap filter housing where your existing filter is. (you may even be able to use the existing bracket)

Is it expensive to convert?

No, the conversion kit for a System1 is only £7 (+ the cost of the filter) and that includes the complete housing, with mounting bracket, an isolation tap for easy filter changing plus two push-fit connectors to connect to your filter system, triflow tap or fridge. That is a one-off cost. The conversion kit for a System 2 is £14 and the Ceramic & Carbon filters are £15 each.
